The SCDSB Special Board Meeting took place on Wednesday, Nov.12, 2025.

Each November, Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools in Barrie celebrate Rotary Book Day, with each Grade 2 SCDSB student receiving a free book from the Rotary Club of Barrie.

Each year, schools across the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) host holiday markets, craft fairs, and exhibitions.

In 2021, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) received capital funding from the Ministry of Education for a replacement school for Banting Memorial High School in Alliston.
